Strasbourg and other Spontaneous things

It's time to realize there isn't infinite things to do in Heidelberg. Like most cities, there is food to be eaten, things to be bought, and a lot of walking around the--very beautiful and incredibly different from the U.S.--city. Well do not fear, flixbus is here! First off-get What'sapp; then your friend will be able to text you at 10am asking you to go to France at 11:30. Do not be afraid to be spontaneous while you're here, you will miss out on so much. Strasbourg was yes, just another city, but it was my first time to France. My first time being somewhere I could only say "bonjour" and "merci" I felt so out of my element, but at the same time it was so incredible to hear everyone around me blabbering off in this romantic language. I wanted to be able to make the sounds that were coming out of their mouths. So who knows, maybe when I return to the states I actually will take some french classes, but the point it: everything you do here will change you and the way you think. So be open, and don't be afraid to be afraid.

I've gotten pretty lucky so far. Opportunities for making german friends have literally just shown up at my front door(or my window). I can't give really good advice on how to make mostly german friends yet, but I do know it's so tempting to just go with all the exchange students. There is no right answer, but I've realized it's good to have both.
