This weekend I jumped on--yet another--Flixbus: destination-->Prague!(Prag/Praha). I got there at 1am Friday morning and luckily my brother-in-law found my bus station so I wasn't stranded in the Czech Republic. I was lucky enough to be able to stay in a super nice hotel with him(free breakfast included!). It turned out to be an awesome trip, if you're heading there, here were my favorite parts:

The "Prague Royal Walk Free Tour" was by far my favorite part. You can find them on the hour with yellow umbrellas near the main square. My tour guide's name was Pistis, he was from Israel, spoke five languages, and was a traveling Yogi(so my dream life). I had such a deeper experience hearing all the history behind the city instead of just walking around looking at cool buildings. There were so many funny stories about Prague and so much history I had no idea about. Did you know Franz Kafka was born there, lived there his whole life and died there? And no one liked his writing! The tour really is free, no one pays these guys, but it's polite to tip your guide if you think they did a good job!(About 200-300czk is a good idea).

Make sure you see the Charles Bridge, Charles was a really important person in Czech history, they love him. The bridge is really cool, filled with street performers and small kiosks to buy things. I was lucky enough to be there on their independence day, so I saw a parade on it!

The only thing I new about going to Prague was the John Lennon Wall. It's just over the Charles Bridge. It was probably the lamest part of my time there, I will say. But it looks cool.

The Prague Castle was actually closed while I was there, unfortunately. But I still walked up to it and the view of the city was amazing. There is also a very cool cathedral inside the castle. Just a warning, it doesn't look like what you would expect a castle to look like, but it's the biggest one in the world.

The Astronomical Clock is located in the main square, it goes off every hour with figures that move about. Apparently it was rated the second most overrated tourist attraction in Europe...but I thought it was pretty neat. You can also climb the tower and have an awesome view of the city. I did it at night, allowing me the view from the castle in the day, and getting to see the view at night. *Student discount!*

For dinner I went to Sedm Konselo, an authentic Czech restaurant. It was delicious! I highly suggest trying some authentic cuisine on your trip. And it's SUPER cheap! For the two of us with drinks, sides, and an appetizer it was only 698czk. That is a plus about Prague, everything is inexpensive, so it's a great place to visit if you want to save money but still have an awesome time.

One tip I learned on my tour: If the beer is more expensive than the water, get out of there! It's a tourist trap.
